Scott specializes in trauma-focused therapy, guiding adults through the intricate landscape of trauma and its profound effects on everyday life. If you find yourself grappling with feelings of worthlessness, shame, guilt, or struggling with emotional regulation and persistent relationship challenges, you may be experiencing symptoms of complex PTSD. Harnessing the transformative power of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Scott helps guide you toward deep healing.
Operating from a feminist perspective, Scott offers a space where all individuals—regardless of gender—can explore their unique experiences. He believes that understanding the societal and cultural contexts surrounding our struggles is crucial for genuine healing. His therapeutic focus encompasses anxiety, relationship dynamics, depression, and dissociative symptoms, all of which can lead to self-resentment and emotional turmoil. Working with Scott, you will cultivate a new relationship with yourself, your body, and your emotions, while examining how gender and societal norms shape your experiences.
If you're weary of feeling trapped in unproductive patterns, Scott is here to provide you with valuable tools and unwavering support. It is his privilege to walk alongside you on your journey to healing. Together you will collaborate to nurture resilience, foster self-acceptance, and build meaningful connections in your life.
A little bit more about Scott: His greatest joy in life is his family and he loves his wife and two sons dearly. He considers himself to be a creative person who loves reading, writing, baking, and music. He is also an Army veteran, although he is glad that period of his life is over. Outside of creative endeavors, Scott cares for his mind/body using exercise and he coaches part time at a CrossFit gym.
Scott operates under the direction of Dr. Shayda Nematollahi, LPC and under the clinical supervision of Brittany Hewitt, LPC, CPCS.
