Brittany is a dedicated therapist with over eleven years experience in helping her clients on their journey towards healing, self-discovery, and growth. With a warm and empathetic approach, Brittany creates a safe space for her clients to explore their emotions, fears, and struggles. She focuses on providing an affirming and understanding space for clients navigating issues like body image, binge eating disorder, self-esteem, depression, trauma, and anxiety. She is especially passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive environment for neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ individuals. She loves working with clients to unpack challenges, celebrate strengths, and foster empowerment.

Brittany recognizes that she holds white, middle class, and cis-hetero privilege. She also currently holds size privilege, although she did live for many years in a much larger body. These important aspects of her identity has shaped her life experiences and impacts the ways in which she practices therapy, as well as the social justice lens she has from her specialized coursework on the intersectionality between gender, race, and class. Due to her own experiences with things like sexism, ableism, and sizeism, Brittany doesn’t shy away from these topics as they come up in therapy—she knows they impact mental wellness and ignoring them can further harm marginalized people. Guided by values of gender and sexuality justice, Brittany is committed to dismantling cis-heterosexism, ableism, fat-phobia, and other oppressive systems that impact her clients’ well-being. She recognizes that true healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it’s rooted in both personal and collective work toward dismantling social barriers and building spaces that celebrate diverse identities. In her work, she aims to offer a safe and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel seen and valued for who they are. Whether working through the complex effects of grief, confronting the weight of societal expectations on body image, or simply navigating daily life as an oppressed person, her role is to be a steadfast ally and partner on each client’s journey.

As a neurodivergent person herself, with both Autism and ADHD neurotypes, Brittany understands firsthand the importance of a therapeutic space that honors and celebrates neurodivergence. She believes that Autism, ADHD, and other forms of neurodiversity are not pathologies to be "fixed" but unique ways of experiencing and interpreting the world. Her work is not only affirming but also informed by a deep empathy and commitment to neurodiversity, fostering an environment where clients can thrive on their own terms. She helps clients find tools and coping mechanisms that align with their natural strengths, supporting them in navigating the often ableist systems and societal expectations they encounter. Together, you will work to deconstruct internalized ableism and self-doubt, creating space for self-acceptance and confidence.

For clients who struggle with body image and disordered eating, Brittany offers a compassionate approach rooted in Health at Every Size (HAES) principles. She is dedicated to challenging the stigma and systemic biases surrounding body size and weight, helping clients reclaim body autonomy, and promoting a healthy relationship with food and movement. Her work emphasizes self-compassion, body respect, and dismantling harmful societal norms, creating a space where individuals of all body sizes can feel affirmed and empowered.

In your work together, Brittany’s priority is to build a therapeutic relationship grounded in mutual respect and empathy. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in a feminist and relational style that aims to individualize your treatment to your specific needs. Together you will explore how your past experiences, both with others and yourself, affect your present. Brittany believes that as most harm occurs in relationship, most healing does as well. Through the relationship that you will form in your work together, you can begin to imagine new possibilities of relating to yourself and others that can help create meaning and fulfillment in your life. Brittany values a gentle, light-hearted approach that makes you feel safe enough to explore ideas and experiences you may never have shared with anyone. Even though you’re dealing with difficult things, Brittany holds the door open for hope and optimism to enter the process with her light-hearted sense of humor.

Recognizing the importance of self-care in her profession, Brittany cherishes moments spent horseback riding, exploring new restaurants, binge watching a good show or true crime documentary, and spending time with her family or close friends. Her dearest companion, Bentley the Biewer Terrier, symbolizes the profound healing potential of animals in offering unconditional love and support.
